State of the Art 4-color Process
Express Line incorporates state-of-the-art equipment coupled with cutting edge electronic art technology in four color process and index printing.  We are capable of printing up to 14 colors and have 4 flash cure units. We're not just another screen printing company in this reservoir of suppliers in our industry. Fine dot patterns provide effects such as feathering, textured looks, and a rainbow spectrum of pastels and blends.  Express Line has taken four-color process and index printing to a level of excellence that rivals the best commercially produced retail product!

Proper Electronic Art Files Ensure Client Satisfaction
Art design preparation for four-color process printing is a highly technical skill, which requires special training.  Designs created for litho printing or multimedia must be modified to provide workable separations for T-shirt substrates.  Our art department suggests that you provide the basic art on a computer disk, and we will modify it to achieve the dynamic results needed to provide a premium quality product.  All art modifications and separations are done in-house to maintain control over film imaging and to eliminate third party inconsistencies.  Computer files provided should be a minimum of 300 dpi at 100% size for optimum quality print, and can be sent on CD, 5¼", 100 or 250MB Zip desk, or e-mail. Macintosh programs include Photoshop 7.0, Illustrator 10, QuarkXpress 4, or Freehand 10. Save files in native, editable format. Provide placed CMYK images (TIFF or EPS) as well as fonts. Art may be e-mailed to art@hitekcolor.com. Include P.O.# & company name on subject line.

Special Considerations
When using process color, varying 1 color will affect the other colors in the image. Depending on the exact reproduction requirements, exact PMS color matching may not be achievable.

Quote With Caution!
Four-color process seldom means there are just four colors.  Dark garments always require at least one extra flash cure. In addition, there are often certain colors that cannot be created properly in CMYK format. Other spot colors may need to be added for vibrancy. Dark garments can easily have from 8 to 12 colors.  The actual artwork supplied, the complexity of the process, and the variety of unique factors, which may arise in a custom job, all contribute to the price of art, separation and running charges.   Before committing to a job, please send the computer file along with any printed piece you may be requiring us to match. We will evaluate the job, determine the number of colors and quote art preparation to turn your art file into a four-color process masterpiece.

• Film Separation Charge: $62.50 per separation
• Screen Set-up Charge: $37.50 per separation
• Reorder Set-up Charge: $15.75 per separation
• Running Charge: $.34 per hat per separation added to 1-color price
• Running Charge: $.30 per shirt per separation added to 1-color price
• Preproduction Proof Charge (required): Cost of the garment plus $15 per screen.
• All art charges will be quoted. 
• Changes to the order will be chargeable and will delay the order.
